Students At SGI Study Abroad
Many young people spend a lot of the chilly UK January planning their summer trips to Europe.
UK (ePressReleases.org) Jan 30, 2012 - Whether for a holiday, gap year or just improvement of a C.V., young people are choosing to learn languages throughout the winter. London based St George International language school suggests students book courses soon if they want to be summer-ready.
In the increasingly globalised world we live in, speaking a second language is widely recognised as an invaluable skill. Most UK schools however, don't teach second languages all that intensively. Many schools across Western Europe have a huge focus on learning English as a second language and conduct half of the day's lessons in English. But, for those who haven't grown up speaking a second language, the sensible option is of course to employ the help of a language school.
Flexibility is a huge focus at St Georges which is a key aspect for students who are still at high school or university and struggle to find the time to fit in learning a language. Methods for learning include private tuition (including intensive and super intensive courses) and evening courses.
Evening courses at SGI are particularly popular with students and those who work. The school's central location near Oxford Circus means it's easy for most to get to and there's no excuse for not taking that Spanish course you've always thought about. At SGI, evening Spanish courses evening Spanish courses are available as well as French and German. Courses run for 10 weeks and each course has different levels with the Spanish course having the most levels available at four. A 10 week course is priced at £185 for German and French and £195 for Spanish. Students can visit the school's website and take an online test to determine their level. To book a course, students can call the Language Hotline on 020 72991710 or email languages@stgeorges.co.uk.
For students after a touch more adventure, St George International runs a popular Study Abroad programme through its affiliate European schools. Students can organise their courses in Italy, Spain, France and Germany through SGI. There are several school locations in each country, for example, schools in France are located in Paris, Vichy, Montpellier and Nice. Students can take the hassle out of making the move to a European school by organising accommodation, airport transfers and group social activities through the school.
Aspiring travellers and linguists are encouraged enrol on their desired course early to ensure availability. With the variety of languages and courses available at SGI students can be sure that they'll be ready when the time comes for their summer travels.
