Summer Is Here At UIC

UIC, a central London language school based close to Oxford Circus, is currently enjoying a successful summer, with lots of new students enjoying their language classes.

United Kingdom (ePressReleases.org) Aug 24, 2011 -UIC attracts students from 50 countries around the world, and one of the big draws is its central location, within easy reach of the best the city has to offer. In the summer this is particularly true, and UIC's students are in a great position to take advantage of it.

To help new students settle in to the school and get to know London, UIC runs a programme of social events. These events are a key part of college life, and over the summer they include a number of outdoor events, such as games in one of London's parks, picnics and trips to London markets. Also included in the programme are nights out to major clubs and top bars, visits to cultural landmarks and cinema visits.

In terms of their courses, students get to choose from a wide range of options to suit their particular needs. Courses can be taken for 15, 20 or 30 hours a week, and can last for 1 week or longer. General English and specialist courses (such as in Academic or Business English) are offered. Students also have the opportunity to take the award-winning Communication Station course. This is a chance to get involved in radio broadcasting, using UIC's own radio station. Students get to learn broadcasting skills while also improving their English.
