With an extensive curriculum, the school endeavours to arm the students with all the knowledge and information that they would need for applying to colleges and universities after school. The task of preparing for colleges and universities is a daunting one, and the school employs all of its considerable resources in enabling the students to successfully overcome this obstacle. Since the School is independent, it also offers unbiased advice in the selection of the most appropriate school for each individual studying the Foundation Course. The training and encouragement provided to students at Alexanders stands them in good stead as they prepare for life in a multicultural world.

Exelement Brings Back The Successful Mountain Boarding Day
Last year during the month of September, Exelement held the extremely popular Mountain Boarding Day.

Throughout a whole day, a throng of people from all ages gathered on the slopes of Redhill in Surrey to learn the ropes of mountain boarding and even compete in the numerous events held during the afternoon. The event also included a group BBQ (a crowd puller for certain, no one says no to good food it seems!) and finalised with a prize ceremony that highlighted the best performances of the day (including the coveted King of the Slopes title). Exelement is taking all the things that worked from last year's event and plans to bring them back for a smashing Mountain Boarding Day 2010, plus a little bit more. Returning for the 2010 edition
With the sun back over the lands of the UK, Exelement has decided it is time to bring back the fun of the Mountain Boarding Day to this new year. The date on the calendar for this event is no other than July the 24th. As we see the date has been moved forward by almost two months; this should please the impatient aficionados that were itching for a new chance to compete since last year's event.
This time Exelement plans to improve on the strengths of last year by making everything bigger and better. Once again, both newcomers and experienced riders will be welcomed to the event. Newcomers should expect a treat since lessons will be had in small groups with instructors that can cater to the individual skill level of each person. After basic training and some solo practice rounds, the ever popular BBQ returns and this time it's bigger (and tastier!) than ever. The afternoon will be filled with the same events that were so popular last year and will include some new surprises for the veterans that come back for a second round. A big difference this year is that Exelement has hired some of the best riders in the UK to come and deliver an impressive demo, showcasing the best and craziest mountain boarding tricks around. All an all, a cheap experience that assures you a day filled with excitement.

An Inexpensive Sport
On a recent interview David Compton commented on the costs of getting into mountain boarding. According to Mr. Compton, the sport is particularly low on its entry costs (compared to, say, Aston Martin driving); if you look around it should cost you no more than 300 pounds to get all the basic equipment you need to get going. There are not many things you need to get started: safety gear includes a helmet, both elbow and knee pads and wrist guards to save your wrist in case you fall; the full set-up should cost you no more than 50 pounds provided you search for the best price. The board itself is the most expensive equipment and a brand new beginner board can range from 100 to 250 pounds in cost.
